Submission Deadline: August 20, 2010
First Prize: The Winner will receive $1000 cash, a Publishing Deal with Carmel Coast Publishing Enterprises, and an engraved plaque, commemorating the achievement.
Complete Guidelines:
1) Submit up to five (5) unpublished stories, no more than fifty (50) pages total.
2) Any writer composing in English is eligible.
3) The name of the author should not be on the text of the story itself.
4) Simultaneous submissions are not permitted.
5) There is a $20 entry fee for each submission ($25 for international submissions).
6) Each entrant will receive a free PBW pen and a one-paragraph critique of his/her work.
7) The Winner will be announced no later than Friday, September 24, 2010.
All stories submitted to the contest will be considered for publication--with the author’s consent--by Carmel Coast Publishing Enterprises as part of a book compilation.

Winning stories for publication must be received by CCPE within one (1) year after acceptance of the award. The Publishing Package includes the following:
