C. Lamar Powell is a certified Advanced Linguist and Master Language Instructor from the Department of Defense's Foreign Language Institute. He has more than 24 years experience working for the Department of Defense as a Russian interpreter and translator. Lamar holds a degree in World Languages and Literature and is an award-winning poet whose career has led him to all four corners of the world. He now brings those professional and life experiences to you in a literary form. He is the owner and CEO of Carmel Coast Publishing Enterprises and the Founder of The Professional Black Writer and The Black Poets Circle.
